Our Journey

The Story of Ginkgo Stone Composite, unfiltered and honest. 🎬

Two years ago, on a scorching summer day, the idea sparked in our minds. Maybe it was the heat, maybe our passion—but the problem we faced was real: we struggled to find frost-resistant pots worthy of our plants, especially our bonsais. We weren’t just looking for something practical—we wanted something beautiful. Pots with stone-like textures that harmonize with bonsais and evoke the atmosphere of their natural habitat. We broke away from classic shapes and dreamed up new designs that followed the unique forms and canopies of bonsai trees. Then came the questions: How do we make it frost-resistant? What material could be both stable and ultra-lightweight? How will it support the weight of the tree? How can it be transported? So began the experimentation—step by step. We hit obstacle after obstacle. We tested countless materials, endured numerous failures, and survived many sleepless nights. But the composite refused to come together the way we imagined. That’s when we brought in chemical engineers, who faced no small challenge. They supported us with tiny insights, which we tested again and again. Eventually, they became part of the entire product development journey. We’re deeply grateful to them for being part of this long and exciting process. 🙏🏼 Still, perfection eluded us. One night, after yet another failed mixture, we discovered something unexpected the next morning: a paper-thin yet nearly unbreakable composite flake nestled in the folds at the bottom of the mixing tray. That was the turning point. We knew we were on the right track. 😊 Like proud preschoolers, we carried it around everywhere. 🙃 And here’s a funny story we just have to share: the next morning, the new sample sat on the kitchen table alongside a scribbled recipe draft and a note to the family: “Don’t throw this away or I’ll lose it!” 🤣 From that moment, the real work began—full speed ahead. Our goal: to create the texture of natural stone. After nearly a year of experimentation and testing, we finally found the perfect formula. The material wasn’t just frost-resistant—it was stunningly lifelike, like holding a fragment of a meteorite in your hand. 👏🏼 But we didn’t stop there. We’re perfectionists. We didn’t want to work with just black tones. So we created nature’s colors too: subtle shades of earth, grass, and minerals appeared in the composites. We were thrilled to confirm: with just 8 ingredients, we could craft the perfect stone composite pots—and the recipe is locked away under seven seals. 🔐 From there, we focused on shapes and sizes. Our hearts were satisfied, but our minds craved new challenges.

That’s how our next goal was born: Creating 3D, vertically hollow rock structures.

Once again, the cycle began—learning, sleepless nights, experimentation. While studying an American research paper, a single sentence gave us new hope. We saw how a completely new material could be developed. 📚 We gathered the ingredients.

During the first experiment (yes, another funny story 😄), the materials reacted like a volcano—boiling and erupting! 💣 More questions, more mysteries—but we didn’t give up. Eventually, we succeeded. We developed the technology for vertical rock structures too. 🙏🏼❤️ This long journey began with hand-carved Ytong rocks, evolved, and has now taken on a refined, mature form.

Now, the time has come to share the possibility of harmonious compositions with others.
